Artist Statement
The still, dark forest waits under the brooding purple sky. Slowly, silently, the swollen orange moon rises, casting a ghostly glow on the tips of the trees. The magic of the full moon transforms the night.
Techniques
I took a photo of the full moon, then used the computer to create a posterized image. Constructed using fused raw-edge applique. Machine quilted.
