Artist Statement
When I was a little girl, my mom and dad used to recite this poem at bedtime. If you aren’t familiar with it, I put it around the edge of the quilt. When they told the story, they often shouted out “HE SPILLED IT,” at the end and it scared me, too! I waited in anticipation of that line, trying not to jump when they got to it.
