Artist Statement
I have always had an interest in Native American lore. When the opportunity to participate in Fly Me to the Moon by creating a quilt for Wolf Moon I was thrilled. This quilt represents the January full moon, The Wolf Moon.
Techniques
Thread painting – the wolf head in the moon is heavily thread painted, as are the wolf, rocks, and trees. Raw edge appliqué was used.
Materials
Commercial cotton fabrics, fabric paints and inks, Lutradur, threads.
